No worries! Here’s what to do:

1. Log in to your existing OnStar account (or create a new one if you haven’t already). You can do this on the OnStar website: https://app.onstarvehicleinsights.com/
2. Add your new vehicle to your account. This will link your OnStar subscription to your specific car.
3. If you have trouble adding the vehicle: You can contact OnStar customer support through the “Help” tool on their website or by calling them directly. Make sure to have your account name and vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you contact them. This information will help them add your vehicle and ensure everything is set up correctly.

OnStar Vehicle Insights works with most Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles from 2015 onwards, but there are a few exceptions. Here’s what you need to know:

• Your vehicle needs an active Connected Access plan. This is a subscription service that provides internet connectivity to your car.
• There are a few vehicle types that don’t work with OnStar Vehicle Insights:
  • Chevrolet Volt electric car
  • Low Cab Forward Medium Duty Trucks (large commercial trucks)
  • Some base Chevrolet and GMC trucks that don’t have OnStar hardware installed

In short, OnStar Vehicle Insights works with most newer GM vehicles, but check if your specific car model and trim level require an active Connected Access plan and actually has OnStar hardware.
