How do I access Emergency Services?
There are two ways to access Emergency Services 24/7:
- Push your vehicle’s red Emergency button
- Call OnStar at 1.888.4ONSTAR (1.888.466.7827) to reach an Advisor in an emergency
Does Automatic Crash Response call 911?
No. The service alerts an OnStar advisor who can connect to first responders.
When is Automatic Crash Response available?
OnStar advisors are available 24/7 to assist you.
Does Automatic Crash Response require an active OnStar service plan?
Yes. You must have the OnStar Safety & Security Plan.
What if my airbags don’t go off?
Automatic Crash Response is designed to still activate in the event of certain minor crashes, even if your airbags don’t deploy.
What if I don’t know where I am?
Using GPS technology, an OnStar advisor can relay your coordinates along with crash data (if available) to first responders.
What if I can’t speak?
Even if you can’t ask for help, an OnStar advisor will attempt to connect to your vehicle after a detected crash and contact first responders.
Do I have to push a button to activate Automatic Crash Response?
No. In certain types of crashes, your vehicle’s built-in sensors are designed to automatically alert an OnStar advisor who will attempt to immediately connect with your vehicle.
